Babuji for me was more like a father. Since i remember, i used to think he is only my father.
Learnt a lot from him...Still the morning chowpatty walk near shore, teaching me grammer while we walked...his "had gone, going, will go" ill never forget. The tambi ka dosa which we used to eat after our grammer and walking sessions got over...he always used to ask about how 25th is the christmas day when after christ was born the calender came into existence..a tricky but intelligent question...through his questions we learnt a lot of things...it would keep us busy thinking...lots of english words and meaning we learnt from him...for us he was our dictionary...all doubts used to go to him...n we would definately get a perfect answer to that...
I always used to tease him as "shana" and he used to respond "kya roadside language use karti ho" :P used to fight with him a lot...at times he used to tell us "idhar kyu rehti ho, jao mere ghar se" and i used to innocently respond "mai kyu jau...apko problem hai aap jao...yeh mera bhi ghar hai..." and he used to have that slight smile on his face as what fool i could be telling him to leave his own house :P
Have learnt a lot of things from him...his peculiarity...his perfection...the way he was punctual and hardworking...perfect in all his work...what i am today is all because of him...will always cherish and carry it all my life.....
