At 7 hours 20 minutes, this is the world's longest movie trailer How would you like to watch the trailer of a movie that is set to be released in 2020? Yes? Okay. Set aside 7 hours and 20 minutes. You read that right. The trailer of Swedish film Ambiance alone is longer than the three Matrix movies combined. Wait. If the trailer alone is about as long as the first four Harry Potter movies, how long is the movie itself? 720 hours. That's a whopping 30 days. And this trailer has been termed a 'short trailer'. The first trailer, which the makers called 'teaser', had been released in 2014, and was 72 minutes long. Another trailer is set to be released in 2018. This, a 'longer' trailer, will be 72 hours long. The trailer does not feature a single cut according to the makers of the film. It is entirely black and white and does not feature a single line of dialogue. And it features only two actors. And here's is the truly eye-popping thing about this movie, according to a note from the fimmakers. "The final film will be screened once syncronised on all the continents and then deleted. Ambiance is 720 hours long (30 days) and will be shown in its full length on a single occasion syncronised in all the continents of the world and then destroyed. Ambiance will be the longest film made that doesn't exist." Ambiance is set to be released on December 31, 2020. It is being directed by Swedish filmmaker Anders Weberg, in what seems to be a goodbye ode to cinema. Incidentally, the longest film ever made is also Swedish. 'Logistics', released in 2012, was 857 hours (35 days and 17 hours) long. Ambiance, when it is released, is set to become the second longest film.
